River Valley Church SOAP -Part 1Egzanp

Paul is writing the book of Philippians from a Roman prison. He is thankful that through this he is able to advance the gospel, and ironically is considered a book about joy.
Paul writes the book of Colossians also while in prison, but this time it's to a church in Colossae that he has never met. He didn't even start the church, a co-laborer in Christ named Epaphras did. He talks about how Jesus is the exalted Messiah and that they should not cave to the pressure of turning away from Christ.
Paul's letter to the Thessalonians is actually his first letter, and the place of the first church. Many people come to Christ and they begin to face persecution. He challenges the believers to grow, to stand firm and not to be idle.
