Continuing with a time of seclusion for Jesus before his crucifixion, the narrative of John changes slightly to nearly all vivid instruction on how to live according to God’s will. Jesus promises another Helper that will be with us forever, which is fulfilled throughout the book of Acts. This begins a storyline of remembrance and bearing witness, as John takes us through the last moments of Jesus’ life on earth, his resurrection and the fulfillment of Scripture. John’s Gospel reminds us that all is written so that we may believe and have life in Jesus’ name.

SOAP is the daily devotional plan at River Valley Church. SOAP is a simple process that includes reading a selected passage of Scripture, writing down an Observation or two, committing to an Application, and engaging in Prayer. This is a 12 part devotional plan throughout the entire year and we recommend starting with part 1.
