A struggle begins between a misinterpreted faith in God the Father and widespread rejection of Jesus. Many Jews hold fast to the law of Moses and continue to persecute Jesus, despite Jesus’ relentless warnings and affirmations. We see the people often test Jesus in order to bring a charge against him and the desire for his arrest grows. A plot to kill Jesus is transpired by the Pharisees and chief priests after the resurrection of Lazarus, which shifts Jesus’ focus from walking among the Jews to a secluded time with his disciples.
