But What Did God Say?

Jour 3 sur 7

Wait: to stay where one is, or delay action until a particular time or something else happens. Waiting is one of the most difficult things most of us will ever have to do. It’s hard for us to wait when we feel like we deserve it now. We tend to desire instant gratification, and you want the harvest as soon as you plant the seeds. You expect the promise as soon as you step out on faith, but that’s not how God works. To fulfill the need to have things now, you often go ahead of God’s timing. This is very dangerous because it can lead you down a path of frustration, exhaustion, doubt, and sometimes make you give up altogether. God did not give you that word to make you anxious, but so that you could rest and have peace while you wait. That word is a mighty weapon. Wait upon the Lord, He will prove Himself! Prayer Heavenly Father, Your word says that You know my end from the beginning. You know every roadblock, every detour, and every attack of the enemy that would tempt me to rush ahead of You. Remind me that no matter what I’m facing today, You have already gone before me, and You have complete control. I choose to wait on You. Thank You for sending a refreshing of Your spirit, and the, and the building up of my spirit man, so that I can endure the wait and possess the promise. In Jesus name, Amen Think it Over Is this season tempting you to move ahead of God? Do you feel frustrated or anxious about what God has promised?  Anything obtained outside of God’s will and time is not worth the mess that it will create. The scripture says that when we wait on God we are renewed. Make the choice today that you will wait on God. The promises of God are worth the wait.
