Listening To The Word - 1 YearExemple

A Form of Godliness
2 Timothy 3:1, 5, 7
“…There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves…having a form of godliness but denying its power…always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.”
Knowledge in itself does not save or transform our lives. Knowledge of the Bible or spiritual things can be a subtle substitute for a living relationship with Jesus Christ. The power of the Holy Spirit is experienced when we surrender our lives as “living sacrifices” to the will of God. The power of God cannot operate in our lives when we live with pride, self-sufficiency and selfishness. God’s power is experienced as we humbly obey the Word of God and continually yield our thoughts, desires, emotions and actions to him. It is the truth of God lived, not just memorized that will transform us.
Jesus, I repent for knowing much more than I live or obey. I humble myself before you and seek your will and your way for my life.
