The God that Jesus Revealed: God has X-Ray Vision

The God that Jesus Revealed: God has X-Ray Vision

So many people in our churches and the culture at large remain interested in Jesus, even as they are confused or disappointed by God and the church. From this reality arises the misconception that Jesus is somehow different than God the Father. We will address numerous ways Jesus reveals the Father, and gives us a picture of what God is like during this series. Today we discuss how God has X-Ray Vision.

LIFEGROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

1. What is your biggest take away from this week’s message?

2. Hypocrisy is one of the biggest accusations lobbed at Christians. How does this passage (Matthew 15:1-20) inform our thoughts about overcoming hypocrisy?

3. If Jesus does His best work on the inside of His followers, how does that happen? How does He transform from the inside out?

4. These references should help form some of your thinking about God working on the inside of us: Psalm 1; Psalm 51:10-12; Matthew 5:8; Ephesians 1:15-18; 3:14-19; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18; 1 Peter 4:8. Do any others come to mind?

5. What will you do with this message? What is one way you are going to arrange your life to focus more on the heart?
