Just say the word and the tension in the room goes up. Homosexuality. It's a term that's noticeable in almost every arena of our lives: prime time television, Oscar-winning movies, news headlines and political agendas. The topic of homosexuality evokes all kinds of emotions. So where does God stand on this important subject? The question we’re asking is not about us. It’s not about you. It’s ultimately about God. 3. God Gave Us His word:
Hebrews 13:4
“Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” (NIV)
Leviticus 18:22
“Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.” (NIV)
Romans 1:26-27
“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” (NIV)
