Acts 27:13-26 The Storm – Someone Else’s Disobedience
Jonah – Our Disobedience.
Warning: Just because you’re able to move forward, doesn’t mean you’re right. The silence of God does not mean He has changed His mind v, nor does it suggest you are in His will. In His silence, He is respecting your right to choose, and when you choose another direction (Tarshish) other than His will, it becomes a teaching opportunity from God.
Prov. 14:12:There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
The wrestling match in the whale’s belly concludes when you say YES to God’s will. God always gives Jonahs a second chance in a worst place. Because we choose the wrong direction at the port … the second chance comes under hellish conditions. Sooner or later God will have His way, whether you’re rich or poor, healthy or sick, whether you’re 200 lbs or depressed at 105 lbs. God will have His way. Because, you belong to Him!
Bible: God began to give the fish indigestion, that made him regurgitate everything he had eaten, just to get Jonah out. When you’re in a trap and finally say YES to God, God will shake up everything that needs to be shaken up to get you out of that situation: from lawyers to judges to counselors – God will shake up digestive systems and judicial systems to get you out of your mess.
Has God ever sent you to do something when the odds were against you? But, you’re an overcomer, you’re more than a conqueror. Once you get by this, you can overcome that. What really excites me is that the man preaching in Ninevah today was in the belly of the fish a few days ago. Isn’t it funny how God calls a man to instruct people to repent, when He’s just repented 20 minutes ago? There’s not much difference between the Preacher and the Pew.
Remember: God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. God sends sinners and drug addicts and messed up folks to catch sinners, just like us. He sends a sinner to catch a sinner.
Please learn this: The vaccination, the cure, the serum is often made from the same bacteria à same kinship and connection.
Anti-dote for a snake-bite is made from the actual snake venom.
There is always a connection between redeemer and redeemed. That’s why God sent Jesus in the flesh. God allowed us to go through what we went through – the Hell – the belly of the whale. Because as He comforts us in our affliction it’s for us to comfort others in similar hells and whale bellies.
Are you ready to be used by God? “Here I am Lord, send me.” You gotta go through what you gotta go through – like Pastor Dito, Jonah, so we can help others get to Jesus.
Who’s ready to come up out of the belly and enter into their destiny?
He relents and goes to where God originally wanted him to go.

turn to God.
