WOMEN OF PURPOSE EVENTS
Another WOP yard sale will be held on Sat. Sept 24. If you are interested in heading this up or participating please sign up at the women’s table.

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE
It’s that time again! Time for our annual Women’s Conference held at the Hershey Lodge. It is scheduled for Nov, 11-12. Deposits are due Sun. Sept. 11, 2016

MEN’S MINISTRY
Our annual Men’s Conference is being held on Fri. & Sat., Oct 14-15 in Lutherville, MD. This is a great time of fellowship and biblical encouragement. We invite all men to attend. We will travel to the conference each day instead of staying overnight. There is a sign up sheet in the lower foyer. Deadline for registration and payment ($50.00) is Sun. Sept 18. GIRL’S MINISTRY
Thank you for the support of the girls as well as the coins for kids school in Jangdea. We raised $130.10!!!

BODY NEWS

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY
We have started a new Bible study during our Wednesday evening study. It is a comprehensive compilation of perspectives concerning the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit. We desire to not only live on memories of past experiences but believe that our greatest experience of God’s spirit is yet to come.

WEDNESDAY MEALS
Next week’s dinner will be:
Corn on the Cob, Water Melon, Fresh fruit and Veggies

CHANGES IN WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL TIME.
In order to best protect our children and keep them safe, we are starting a pre-service class beginning this Wednesday Aug 24. Any child that attends for the dinner will eat first in the dining area. When they are finished, they must meet in this designated classroom. They will remain there until 6:25 when we will dismiss them to their classes. No children will be allowed to exit the building or wander around.

TITHES & OFFERINGS
We appreciate of all those who are faithful in giving of their tithes and offerings on a consistent basis. We do ask that everyone please remember to continue your faithfulness while you are away on your summer vacations and get-a-ways. Our expenses do not take vacations. Thank you in advance!

MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY
Our church has an opportunity to be involved in a missionary ministry out reach. Dustin Wible will be going to Africa in September and is collecting toothbrushes, gently used soccer balls, Christian material and books for Kenya Connect. Kenya Connect is a non-profit working in rural Kenya to strengthen education with 55 partner schools.

Toothbrushes will be given to the children at schools and soccer balls are greatly appreciated (most schools use bunched up plastic bags for balls). Kenya Connect has a small library and gently used books—especially information books like DK Books, National Geographic series, early readers, and picture books will be brought over. To learn more about the work of Kenya Connect visit www.kenyaconnect.org or ask Dustin. There are bins in the lower foyer for collections. All donations are appreciated.
