I. Introduction
A. John chapter 9 tells the story of Jesus healing a blind man.
1. In this story, we are confronted with the fact that Jesus has a mission and those that are supposed to be in the know, don’t have a clue.

A. Instead of being concerned with assigning blame, Jesus is “about doing his Father’s business.”
B. Jesus is revealing the glory of God, by showing grace and mercy and he is teaching his disciples that they are to join in this work with him.

C. We are all born into this world spiritually blind and even worse, we are spiritually dead and in need of a miracle from God. We need regeneration not merely reformation.

III. The Practice of Medicine
A. Instead of standing around and joining in the discussion with his disciples, Jesus, the Great Physician, gets to work.

B. When the doctor tells you to do something, the best thing is to do it. When Jesus gives us new eyes to see, everything changes and we’ll never be the same.

IV. The Prescription
A. Sometimes we find ourselves not believing something because it’s “too good to be true.”

B. When it comes to following Jesus, there is always a line drawn in the sand.
