Aug. 19, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. here at the church. Darlene Fearson will be demonstrating and teaching us how to make a craft. Invite a friend! Please sign up at the Women’s table in the upper foyer.<br><br>Another WOP yard sale will be held on Sat. Sept 24. If you are interested in heading this up or participating please sign up at the women’s table.<br><br><b>WOMEN’S CONFERENCE</b><br>It’s that time again! Time for our annual Women’s Conference held at the Hershey Lodge. It is scheduled for Nov, 11-12. Please stop by the Women’s table for more information. <br><br><b>YOUTH CAR WASH</b><br>The teens are planning on having a fund-raising car wash on Sat, Aug, 20 from 11 am to 2 pm. Come and get a sparkling clean car and support our young people! Monetary and baked goods are also welcome. Thank you for your support!<br><br>Emerge Youth is also a thirsty bunch and would greatly appreciate any donations of water or soda for Wednesday nights.<br><br><b>MEN’S MINISTRY</b><br>Our annual Men’s Conference is being held on Fri. &amp; Sat., Oct 14-15 in Lutherville, MD. This is a great time of fellowship and biblical encouragement. We invite all men to attend. We will travel to the conference each day instead of staying overnight. There is a sign up sheet in the lower foyer. Deadline for registration and payment ($50.00) is Sun. Sept 18. Go to: ww.2016bandofbrothers.com for more detailed information.<br><br><b>JOYCE MEYER</b><br>Joyce is coming to the Giant Center on Thurs. and Fri. Aug 25 &amp; 26. If you are interested in attending, please see the sign up sheet at the Women’s table in the Upper Foyer. We will need someone to drive, so please indicate if you are able to drive. <br><br><b>GIRL’S MINISTRY</b><br>The girls are raising money for the National Girl’s Ministry project “Coins for Kids”. This project is helping to build a new school in the country of Jangdea. We will be taking a special offering on Sun. Aug 21 to assist them in reaching their goal. <br><br><b>GIRL’S MINISTRY “FRIENDS” CLASS </b><br>Beginning in September, our Girl’s Ministry is expanding by adding the popular “Friends” program. This is designed for girls ages 6th thru 8th grade. We are blessed to have, returning veteran, Sue Conley and new to our staff, Bhel Villagracia as our team leaders. Bhel was actively involved in Girl’s Ministry with their previous church.<br><br><b>BACK TO SCHOOL BASH</b><br>Our kids &amp; youth ministries are having a Back-to-School Bash during the service on Wed. Aug 17. Details are in the works. Don’t miss this night of fun and excitement.<br><br><b>BODY NEWS</b><br><br><b>WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY</b><br>We have started a new Bible study during our Wednesday evening study. It is a comprehensive compilation of perspectives concerning the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit. We desire to not only live on memories of past experiences but believe that our greatest experience of God’s spirit is yet to come.<br><br><b>YOUNG ADULTS CLASS</b><br>The young adults will be starting a new lesson in Sept. entitled “The Love Dare”. It is a bible based study based on the movie “Fireproof” that was at the theaters a while ago. If you would like to be a part of that and enjoy an ice-breaking fellowship at Jamie &amp; Dustin Wible’s, please sign up in the lower foyer.<br><br><b>TITHES &amp; OFFERINGS</b><br>We appreciate of all those who are faithful in giving of their tithes and offerings on a consistent basis. We do ask that everyone please remember to continue your faithfulness while you are away on your summer vacations and get-a-ways. Our expenses do not take vacations. Thank you in advance! <br><br><b>WORSHIP TEAM PRACTICES</b><br>Worship Team Members: Please mark your calendars for the following practices. Each is a Sunday night and they begin at 5:00. If you have any questions, feel free to stop by the sound booth .—Brad<br><br><b>MISSIONS OPPORTUNITY</b><br>Our church has an opportunity to be involved in a missionary ministry out reach. Dustin Wible will be going to Africa in September and is collecting toothbrushes, gently used soccer balls, Christian material and books for Kenya Connect. Kenya Connect is a non-profit working in rural Kenya to strengthen education with 55 partner schools.<br>Toothbrushes will be given to the children at schools and soccer balls are greatly appreciated (most schools use bunched up plastic bags for balls). Kenya Connect has a small library and gently used books—especially information books like DK Books, National Geographic series, early readers, and picture books will be brought over. To learn more about the work of Kenya Connect visit www.kenyaconnect.org or ask Dustin. We will be setting up bins in the foyer for collections. All donations are appreciated.<br><br><b>WEDNESDAY MEALS</b><br>Dinners will resume WEDNESDAY AUGUST 24TH! The dinner will be the ever-popular hot dogs! If you are able to join our team, please see Pastor Jeff or Donna Schott! A special thank you to Gladys Johnston for her many hours of dedicated service to this ministry.
