Maybe he thought - is John going to get a better deal than me. He seems to be a little closer to Jesus.

Sometimes what we want is a little sympathy. Understanding when we think others have it better than we do.

Sinful - The trap of comparison - is so destructive, it steals our joy and destroys our peace and confidence in God.

People who compare might say I'm generally happy for the happiness of others - just so long as it doesn't exceed my own.

What happens next - Is we will not see their value, but begin to only see their faults

2. Learns to rejoice with others
3. Don't concern themselves with what others have

To compare yourself to others is to say that God has given someone else something and not you.

We need to have confidence in God and His word.
