Encounters: Week 1 - Isaiah
An ENCOUNTER WITH GOD changes everything.
A God Encounter

1. Our greatest PAIN can be a CATALYST for our greatest GAIN.

Isaiah 6:1-5 (ESV)In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”

4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
2. When we see God clearly we see ourselves clearly.

Isaiah 6:6-8 (ESV) 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
3. God removes OUR PAST so He can redeem OUR FUTURE.
Isaiah’s Words of Encouragement

1. God wants to reveal more of Himself to you.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Isaiah’s Words of Encouragement

2. God wants to change.
Isaiah1:18-19 “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land.”
Isaiah’s Words of Encouragement

1. God has an ASSIGNMENT for you.

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has createdusanewinChristJesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago
