Life comes at us fast sometimes.

In times of stress and anxiety we can give one of two responses:

- We can respond by amplifying the stress
- Or We can respond by absorbing the stress

>>> Representing God's non-anxious presence is all about living by faith and not by sight


Jesus was the “non-anxious presence” in the boat that night. He brought a sense of order, peace and stability to that chaotic and dangerous situation with his courage, poise and power.

>>> Representing God's non-anxious presence separates us from the world.


The scriptures clearly remind us that we are living in this world, but we are not of this world and that ought to shape the way we respond to the frustrations and cares of this world.

>>> Representing God's non-anxious presence can be very contagious.


The early church grew out of making disciples, and they made disciples by stepping into the lives of the troubled, the hurting, the sick, and those who were facing all kinds of storms of life
