9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT)

One thing: Everything God is –
Everything We are called to –
is all wrapped up in one Name!
Everything We are called to –
is all wrapped up in one Name!
· Our Backward Glance– Romans 1:1-4 (NLT)
1 This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News
.
2 God promised this Good News long ago through his prophets in the holy Scriptures.
3 The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line,
4 and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead
by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord.

· Everyone’s Upward Look – Ephesians 1:19-23 (ESV)
19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us
who believe, according to the working of his great might
20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and
seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and
above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the
one to come.
22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things
to the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

No other name under heaven . . .whereby we must be saved

· The Church’s Outward Vision – Acts 15:14-18 (ESV)
James replied, “Brothers, listen to me.
14 Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them
a people for his name.
15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,
16 “‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen;
I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it,
17 that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the
Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who
makes these things
18 known from of old.’
