Overcoming Fear
Strong’s Concordance: agōnía. It is used to refer to the trembling excitement and anxiety produced by fear or tension before a wrestling match or a fight. In the New Testament, it is used denoting not the fear which draws back and flees, but the fear which trembles in the face of the issue, yet continues on to the end.

C. Jesus was under full-scale assault by Satan—the spirit of fear.
1. Fear is a spirit.
2. Satan uses fear to control us and keep us from doing God’s will.
Fear is a prophet spirit from hell sent to give us a negative report about the future that will upset us and cause us to make a fear-based decision that God will not honor.

God never uses fear! He uses peace!

C. How to Overcome Fear

2. Submit your fears to God.
