1) SCHOOL SUPPLIES for students (through Food Pantry at DFMC)
purchase items and place at collection point in DFMC
items needed: Paper, pencils, pencil boxes, spiral notebook paper, folders, colored pencils, ink pens.
deadline for collection: August 14
2) TEACHER CLASSROOM PACKS for teachers of Central Elementary
purchase items and place at collection point in DFMC
items needed: Pencils, cap erasers, loose-leaf paper, glue sticks, snacks (no nuts), highlighters, Sharpies, Kleenex box, hand sanitizer, dry erase markers, Clorox wipes, notebooks (wide rule), $5 gift card to Tim Hortons, McDonalds, or Starbucks.
deadline for collection: August 28
PRIME TIMERS' NIGHT OUT
For adults 50+. Tuesday, August 9, 6:00 pm at the home of Russ and Lena Colthorp for a cookout and potluck. Bring your own hamburgers or hotdogs to grill and sandwich buns along with a dish to pass (dessert, potato salad, veggie tray, casserole, etc.). Paper ware, beverages, and sandwich fixing will be furnished. A great way to meet others! Sign-up at the Welcome Center. Info: Joyce Lovejoy (810) 736-7552
