We know that nothing is able to separate us from the love God in Jesus Christ. As we enter into God’s presence to worship Him let us in freedom confess the wrong we have done.
Prayer of Confession
WS 91 (no. 15)
Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry,
too real to hide,
and too deep to undo.
Forgive what our lips tremble to name,
what our hearts can no longer bear,
and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgement.
Set us free from a past that we cannot change;
open to us a future in which we can be changed;
and grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image; through Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Amen.

Life Group Study
BELIEVE: Before & After
OPENING
1) Have you ever known somebody who made a radical shift in their life that changed them from that point forward? Who was it, what was the shift, and what caused the shift?
GOING DEEPER
3) Read John 9:1-12. What strikes you in this first section of John 9? How does it challenge the worldview of the disciples?
4) Why does Jesus send the blind man to wash his eyes before the man receives his sight? Why is this step needed?
5) Read John 9:13-25. How does Jesus challenge the worldview of the Pharisees in this passage? What keeps the Pharisees from seeing Jesus for who He is?
6) In verse 25, the man who can now see gives a succinct testimony. What makes it so powerful? What does the man focus on?
7) If you are a follower of Jesus and had to give your testimony in two or three phrases (like the man here in John 9), what would you say? (It doesn’t have to be perfected, but take a stab at it. We’re all friends, right?) To help you with this, use the two questions below. Each of you take a few minutes to think about this and give it a shot.
APPLYING
8) If you are a follower of Jesus, how is your life different because of Him?
9) If you are a follower of Jesus, was there a moment or turning point that was pivotal in your life with Christ?
