APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
1. What is the theological point of the account of Eutychus in vv. 7-12? What hope and encouragements do these verses offer to believers today? What lessons can we glean from this account? Are you related to Eutychus…do sermons put you to sleep? :)

2. Describe in your own words what it means to live a life of faith and repentance (v. 21). Why are these two elements so crucial for a believer and how are they evidenced on a daily basis? How might these areas be improved in your own walk of faith?
3. What “savage wolves” seek to harm the church today (v. 29)? What false teachings must we be on guard for? Identify ways we can defend ourselves from these attacks.
4. Reflect in your group upon v. 35 and describe its application and witness in your own life. How have you experienced this statement of Jesus? How are you participating in and/or pursuing this statement in your own life?
5. Review vv. 36-38 and discuss what led to such an emotional farewell. Why were such feelings manifested and what does this tell us about the investment Paul made in the people around him? If you were to leave a place or community, what would be the impact upon those around you? How might your impact be enhanced in your church community, family, or place of work?
6. Paul’s life reflected one mastered by Christ, and in this chapter he offers the proof of his life as a witness to the Gospel. If someone where to follow you around and observe you for a year, what would they assume the Christian life was about? Are there changes you need to make to your walk and life? What is “really important” to you?
