APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
1. Look at the Account of the Beggar in Acts 3:1-10. What was he hoping for as he sat outside of the “Beautiful Gate”? Can you see a way in which the man may have been disappointed? What is the evidence that this man was satisfied?

2. Read Acts 2:14-44 and Acts 3:11-4:4. What are some of the similarities of these sermons preached by Peter and the crowd’s response to them? What difference do you notice?
3. The crippled beggar in Acts 3 is a testimony to the power of Christ in the life of a believer. Why is it important for us to give our testimony about the power of Christ in our life?
4. In Acts 3:12 Peter quickly points out that the miraculous healing of the crippled beggar had nothing to with him and John. Why is this an important verse? Who does Peter give the credit for the healing? Where does our ability to be transformed into the image of Christ come from?
5. What is your testimony of the powerful work of Christ in your life?
6. Can you think of a time in your life when God has done something miraculous and He did not receive the glory? Is there a time that you received the credit for something that God did in your life?
7. After reading Peter’s evangelistic sermons Verses 2:14-44 and 3:11-4:4 what does a faithful and effective witness for Christ look like?
