Generosity Online!

The Lord calls all who follow His way to live generous lives - starting with the church. FCC faithfully invests all the funds it receives to impact the community and world for Christ. Thanks for your generosity by giving at the church today (stations available at the door or welcome center) or follow this link to discover online giving!

Use the hashtag #FCCchasingcarrots if you post on Facebook or Twitter. Using social media spreads the impact of what God is doing in our service this morning throughout your friendships!
What is one thing you desire to be able to buy some day? How much would it take you to get that accomplished?
How much do you need to “retire”? How much longer will that take you to arrive at that figure?
Harvard Grant Study: Results by Dr. George Vaillant
“The only thing that really matters in life are your relationships with other people.”
"Without them," he said, “Life quickly loses its flavor, whatever material successes we enjoy. Lasting satisfaction is rare outside of meaningful human relationships."
Lessons from the "Rich Fool"
#1: Don’t make money your god

7 Principles of Money

These principles are mentioned by Pastor Terry today. This article goes into a little more detail and offers additional insight.

Lessons from the "Rich Fool"
#2: Don’t produce wealth JUST for yourself
Today's Takeaway:
What really matters in a person’s life
is not the abundance of money and stuff,
but the quality of Christlike friendships.
Lord, hear the prayer radiating out of my heart today. Listen to me as I pray from the depths of my soul today. Help me live more for you and less for me. Show me the cravings of my life that are causing me distance between myself and you AND others. More of you God. Less of me. More of you God. Less of me. May it be so. I long for you alone. I need you.
Personal reflection this week ...
> How has money and the desire for more been a distraction in your life?
> This week, take some time to consider your spending habits. Evaluate if those habits reflect a Christlike attitude that values others or if it reflects a self-serving attitude that values accumulation. Are there changes that need to take place?
