Courage, American Heritage Dictionary
“The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery.”
Q. What are some examples where you’ve seen courage exhibited?
C.S. Lewis
“Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.”
Fyodor Dostoevski
Be not forgetful of prayer. Every time you pray, if your prayers sincere there will be new feeling and new meaning in it, which will give you fresh courage, and you will understand that prayer is an education.”
I can live a life of courage for Christ.
1. Courage comes from being with Jesus.
2. Courage comes from conviction about Jesus.
3. Courage comes from praying for boldness (and boldly praying!).
Phillips Brooks
“Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men and women. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks.”
