Jesus answers two important questions about prayer:

1) HOW OFTEN?
2) HOW LONG?

1) HOW OFTEN? - "Always" - Frequency, Habit, Consistency

Always - pantote - Duration of time, at all times, on every occasion
Ceasing - adialeiptos - Uninterruptedly, without omission, continuous activity
Anxious - merimnao - Apprehension, worried, troubled, anxiety

Be(Become) - Come to be; undergo change or development

Prayer - proseuche - To speak to God, ask or make a request

Supplication - deesis - An earnest or urgent request to God

Thanksgiving - eucharistia - Express gratitude or show appreciation
Peace - eirene - Harmony, tranquility, favorable, free from worry

Surpasses - huperecho - To hold above; To excel or surpass in value

Understanding - nous - The mind, the psychological facility of understanding, reasoning and deciding; way of thinking

APPLICATION:

Are you more inclined to pray about everything or worry about everything?

Have you become consumed with anxiety about things in your life?

What do you need to give to God and receive His peace in its place?

Have you lost heart and become discouraged in praying for something?

Are you willing to pray determined to receive what God has for you no matter how long?

What areas of your life do you need to “keep comin’” until you see breakthrough?
