1. Revitalization only comes when God’s Word is actively part of our lives.
God’s Word had become a foreign document to the very people to whom God had first given His Word!
Could it be with all of our access to God’s Word, that for some of us the only place God’s Word dwells is inside the public place where God’s people gather?

The Israelites Amos is referring to are desperately looking for a Word from God but cannot find it. How hungry are we for the truth of God’s Word in our daily lives?
Revitalization only comes when God’s Word is actively part of your life. There is no other shortcut to lasting spiritual renewal.
The question for all of us is this when it comes to our own revitalization: What are you going to do about the quality and quantity of time you spend alone in God’s presence in His Word?

2. Revitalization only comes to those whose hearts are tender, humble, and willing to repent.
God will revive and restore all those contrite in spirit like Josiah. God is looking for tender, responsive, and repentant hearts to revitalize.
3. Revitalization comes when we make a wholehearted commitment and follow through in obedience.
Josiah obeyed the essence of God’s Word. Jesus said the greatest commandment was to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Josiah wholeheartedly loved and followed God.
