New to LCC?

There are many opportunities to get involved with this church family. All you have to do is say, "Get me connected!" From being a behind the scenes volunteer, help with Kids Ministry, welcoming people on Sunday mornings as an IMPACT team member, there are many ways to dive in! Fill out the Connection Card and check the "Get Me Connected" box on the back (put it in a giving box) or talk to someone at the Welcome Booth! LCC needs YOU, so don't delay!

Rooted Ministry to college students

College students are arriving in Longview and will be seeking a church family. Would you like an opportunity to encourage and provide a place for one of these students for the school year? <br><br>Perhaps you could take a student to lunch regularly or invite them into your home? Rooted Ministry pairs families with students who desire a deeper family connection through LCC. Interested? A questionnaire is available for families and students at the HUB.

Divorce Care

Divorced? Separated? We can help.<br><br>DivorceCare is a weekly seminar/support group that will help you heal from the hurt. It's a warm, caring environment led by people who understand what you are going through. Gain hope for your future!<br><br>Beginning September 25. Meeting Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8pm in the Vine Room.<br><br>Dell and Sharyl Bledsoe are leading. Notebooks are $15.<br><br>Childcare is available for infants through Kindergarten. Financial Peace University

Pass the Plate 1st Sunday of the month

Beginning October 6<br>LCC believes giving is a powerful expression of worship acknowledging the provision of God. On the 1st Sunday of each month, we will take time to pass the offering plates to allow a special moment of worship through giving. For parents, use this time as a teaching opportunity for your children

Pumpkin Patch Wednesday, October 9 at 11:15am

Join us for our annual trek to the Pumpkin Patch at St. Luke's in Kilgore! Our story time and snack will begin at 11:30, but let's meet at 11:15 for pictures!

Home Group Sign up on the Connection Card

Home Groups begin September 22, so sign up quickly! These groups provide a place for you to grow with others through life in a trusting community. Sign up on the Connection Card and Troy Bayne will contact you to connect you to the best Home Group for you and your family!

Family Promise of Longview needs Volunteers

LCC needs volunteers to help with Family Promise of Longview (formerly LIHN)<br><br>We are honored to partner with Family Promise to help homeless families get on their feet. <br><br>We host families every 6 weeks or so and it takes a team of volunteers to serve them. <br><br>We especially need folks who would be willing to spend the night at the church <br>when we host. <br><br>Please consider helping with this worthwhile ministry.<br><br>Contact Tiffany Reed<b> tdareed@gmail.com</b><br><br><br><br><br>

Grief Share Support Group

David Reeder will be leading a 13 week Grief Support group for those who have lost a loved one.<br><br>There are 2 class options:<br><br>Tuesdays @6-7:30pm: September 10<br><br>or Thursdays @11am - 12:30pm: September 12<br><br>The workbook is $15 and classes will be in the Ladies Ministry Room<br><br>For more info, email DavidReeder@cablelynx.com

3rd Annual Pumpkin Palooza Sun., October 27 from 5-8pm

Live music! Pumpkin-themed games! Pumpkin carving! Pack a picnic supper! Bring a fall dessert to share! Water provided!

Glow Night - Candy donations needed

October 31, the youth will be having Glow Night, a small, family friendly carnival at the Ehemke's. They will be making games and handing out lots of candy. We need candy donations (individually wrapped pieces).<br>Please put candy donations in the tub at the HUB!<br>Thank you!!

Annual Youth Yard Sale! Saturday, November 16
