THE REALITY OF DEMONS
1. MINIMIZING THEIR DETECTION
WHO CAN ME POSSESSED?
1. CAN A BELIEVER BE POSSESSED?
SALVATION’S DELIVERANCE
CONQUERORS THROUGH CHRIST
DELIVERED BY CHRIST / GOD
2. DEMONIC OPPRESSION
3. REVELATION OF THE SUPERNATURAL IN _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
--Anton LaVey was the author and primary promoter of LaVey Satanism. He authored: The Satanic Bible, The Satanic Ritual, The Satanic Witch, The Devil’s Notebook and Satan Speaks.
--Dr. Sam Cathey was asked, “Why he thought this transformation came in 1970?” His reply was abstract but he felt accurate. For the first time since Jesus left this earth, the church no longer was a threat to the Devil and what he wanted to do.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ POWER
1. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Mark 5:2-3a... When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs . . .
· Satan desires to separate us from the opportunity to be exposed to the Truth or the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
· Also note that the tombs were associated with DEATH AND DECAY.
· The ultimate plan of the devil for your life is to destroy you and take your life. Remember John 10:10... The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life,
2. SUPERNATURAL _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ AND _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
Mark 5:3-5... This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him.
A. NOTICE THE SUPERNATURAL _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
HE _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
B. NOTICE ALSO THE SELF-DESTRUCTIVE PATTERNS
THE DELIVERING _ _ _ _ _ OF JESUS
Mark 5:6-13... When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!” 9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area. 11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
1. DEMONS _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ WHO JESUS IS!
2. DEMONS _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HIS FINAL _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
3. THE _ _ _ _ _ _ _ OF THE DEMONS
Mark 5:10-12... And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area. 11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.”
· But Jesus is willing to do only what people ask of him.
· Matthew 12:43-45... “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
THE _ _ _ _ _ _ _ POWER OF _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Mark 5:15-20... When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region. 18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
· Instead of embracing Jesus and rejoicing over the deliverance of this man and potentially their deliverance, they ask Jesus to leave.
· They were more concerned about things continuing on the way they had before and their financial investments (pigs) than they were about being set free.

HOW TO JOIN CAMERON BAPTIST
THE INVITATION:
As each service ends, the pastor or preacher extends an invitation to those who desire membership in the church to come forward. Each one who comes can indicate the way in which they are presenting themselves to the church for membership.
BY BELIEVER’S BAPTISM:
The very first requirement for church membership is the genuine experience of conversion or salvation on the part of the individual. When one has experienced this “birth from above” which brings salvation, they are ready for membership in a New Testament church. The person asking for membership in the church by baptism expresses to the pastor his belief that he has had an experience of conversion, and would like to be presented to the congregation as a candidate for baptism.
BY BAPTISM FROM ANOTHER DENOMINATION:
If you are a member of another denomination and are certain that you have had a salvation experience and want to become a member of Cameron Baptist Church, we invite you to join by baptism. This gives testimony of your salvation and your obedience to scriptural New Testament baptism.
BY TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP:
The member of another Baptist church of like faith and order indicates to the pastor his/her wish to transfer their membership by having Cameron Baptist Church obtain their membership letter. We will happily take care of the appropriate details by seeing that the transfer of membership is accomplished.
BY STATEMENT:
In the event that membership records are not available for a transfer of membership, or if you were once a Baptist church member, but are presently a member of another denomination, we will accept your membership upon your statement of this condition.
