The Journey

· Every believer’s journey to and through death is different

· Believers are not promised an easy journey home

· BUT, we are all promised the presence of the Lord with us (Psalm 23:4)

· We are also promised grace for each moment

· We are promised that Jesus will walk us all the way home (Hebrews 13:5; John 11:25-26)

· The more you have walked by faith in this life, the easier it is to trust Him for your journey home


The Destination

· Our destination is to be with Jesus (John 14:3)

· Our future home is a place of incredible beauty & light

· Our future home will be living in the glory and presence of God

· We will have a new body when we get home

· We will be united in relationships with believers of all ages, never to be separated again (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18)

· The battle of this life, living in a world that seeks to destroy us, will be over – we will finally be home

· How can we not be excited for our future?


The Assurance

· We can know this is our future without a shadow of a doubt

· We can know because Jesus has already conquered death

· If you know Jesus personally as your Savior, you can have absolute assurance of eternal life with Him (1 John 5:13)
