Lasting faith is based on who God is not just what He can do.

Faith is always a gift from God, and never something that can be produced by people. In short, pistis (faith) for the believer is “God’s divine persuasion” - and therefore distinct from human belief, yet involving it. The Lord continuously births faith in the yielded believer so they can know what He prefers, i.e. the persuasion of His will.

God has called us to be a house of prayer. So for this week, we will be praying for our outreach at North, the spiritual growth of Encounter, God's empowerment for our vision, and other churches in our neighborhood. The week will culminate on Friday with a night of worship singing and experiences.

If you are a member of Encounter, you have a voice at our church. This is your opportunity to not only let your voice be heard but also be involved in making Encounter a great church. The business meeting allows you to utilize your gifts and talents by contributing to an area that meets your passion.
