Our real problem with society’s view it that we operate under different PRESUPPOSITIONS!

Society’s VIEW
1. I was born this way!
Reality, it’s not genetic.

2. 10% of people are gay. Really only 2%.
100% lie occasionally.

Christian’s VIEW
1. We’re ALL born in sin.
Romans 3:23 & 6:23

2. God forbids the practice. It’s still not right!
Lev. 18:22

Society’s VIEW
3. It’s WHO I am! I can’t change.
I can't help it.

4. It’s normal and natural. We can still be a family.
All we need is LOVE!

Christian's VIEW
3. It's WHAT I do. God commands us to flee.
Prov. 3:5,6 God can help!

4. Gen. 1:26,27
The family was God’s idea. Kid’s need a Mom & Dad.

Society's VIEW
5. It’s an Alternative Lifestyle. God is all for LOVE.

6. Once gay, always gay! It’s unloving to try to change.

Christian's VIEW
5. It’s a destructive lifestyle. It increases the spread of HIV.
Gen 2:22-25 attacks God’s plan.

6. I Cor. 6:9-11
God delivers from ALL sin.

Society's VIEW
7. It’s a Civil Rights issue.

8. All Christians are Homophobic

Christian's VIEW
7. It’ a Moral Issue

8. We owe them an apology!

How does God view gay people?

John 3:16
For God so loved the WORLD
that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
will not perish, but have eternal life.

Why would God restrict certain activities?

He loves us enough to protect us from harm!

How can I know what is best for my life?

God wrote out His plan for my best in the Bible!

What happens if I ignore my creator’s directions?

I mess things up!

Is there any hope for me If I have lived outside of God’s plan?

I Peter 3:18
For Christ dies for sins once for all,
the righteous for the unrighteous,
to bring you to GOD.
He was put to death in the body
but made alive by the Spirit.

What happens to my guilt?

II Corinthians 5:21
God made Him who had no sin
to be sin for us,
so that, in Him, we might become
the righteousness of God!
