About Eastwood Tulsa

Believe, Belong & Be Loved.
At Eastwood Tulsa, we believe church is the perfect place for those three powerful things. We come together to be reminded of the incredible truths of God’s Word, which we believe wholeheartedly.

In classes, ministries, outreaches, and small groups, we build close, transformative relationships that give us a strong sense of belonging to God and to the body of Christ. And in corporate worship, we experience God’s amazing presence, hear Him speak to our hearts, and are constantly reminded of how deeply, powerfully, and unconditionally loved we are.

We're glad you're joining us today! Visit www.eastwoodtulsa.org to learn more about our church.

The fact that God knows everything can be comforting or troubling. God knows what I’m thinking. He knows what I am going to say before I say it. He knows everything. This truth can comfort us or convict us.
If I know and believe that God loves me perfectly, then I can learn to be comfortable with Him knowing everything about me.
Psalm 139:1-6, 13-18
“When God is our Holy Father, sovereignty, holiness, omniscience, and immutability do not terrify us; they leave us full of awe and gratitude. Sovereignty is only tyrannical if it is unbounded by goodness; holiness is only terrifying if it is untempered by grace; omniscience is only taunting if it is unaccompanied by mercy; and immutability is only torturous if there is no guarantee of goodwill.” Ravi Zacharias

God’s perfect knowledge
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He ponders all his paths. Proverbs 5:21 (NKJV)

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3 (NKJV)

… whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men). 2 Chronicles 6:30 (NKJV)

[God] reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him. Daniel 2:22 (NKJV)

Jesus said, “For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.” Mark 4:22 (NKJV)

If our heart condemns us
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 1 John 3:20–21 (NKJV)
hey
Our conscience can be a great help if it is functioning properly. But if you consistently disobey your conscience, it will harden and cease to be reliable. Also, our conscience is not infallible. You can accuse yourself incorrectly, and the devil will also accuse you. A Christian has a greater aide in doing what is right or avoiding evil. The Bible commands us to walk in/by the Spirit. We are not supposed to let our conscience be our only guide. The Holy Spirit is our guide, our comforter, and advocate.
hey
Condemnation is very different from conviction. Condemnation means “to know against.” Someone is accusing you of wrongdoing (something against you), or your thoughts are against you. It keeps coming up in your mind. The problem with condemnation is that it does not produce growth or change in you. It stifles advancement and paralyzes improvement.Conviction, however, is much different. True conviction comes from the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can give “godly sorrow” that produces repentance and change in us.

For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:10 (NKJV)

When you confess your sins and repent of them and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, you become a new person. Christ comes to live His life in you, and God places you “in Christ.” There is no condemnation for those who are “in Christ Jesus”(Romans 8:1). You may not be consciously aware moment by moment that you are in Christ. But you are! That is how God sees you and treats you. That is your secure position in Christ. The devil, however, loves to condemn believers and steal their joy and assurance of God’s love (Revelation 12:10-11).
The fact that God knows everything about everything and everyone can bring great peace and assurance. When you add His love and other attributes, it gives us great confidence that He not only knows but cares! You don’t have to worry about ANYTHING! You can give God all your cares, worries, and anxieties because He knows and cares for you!
hey
You can leave here today with right standing with God, assurance that you are forgiven forever and that you are no longer condemned for your sins. You can also have a clear and cleansed conscience! And all because of Jesus Christ and what He did for us. The fact that God knows everything about you and your secret sins are not hidden from Him can be terrifying if you are running away. But if you truly confess your sins, repent, and trust in Christ, you are free and no longer under judgment. There is no more condemnation for you.
