The Gift of Grace | Week 2: The Glory of Grace

The Gift of Grace | Week 2: The Glory of Grace

Grace. There’s nothing like it. It’s essential and powerful. It’s a true gift from God, and when we choose to accept and operate out of God’s grace in our lives, it changes everything. In his series, The Gift of Grace, Pastor Jimmy Evans explains how God’s grace transcends our perception of reality, shines through us when we are weak, helps us see God’s good nature fully, and shows us how to respond to other people in our lives. This weekend, Pastor Jimmy talks about why grace is so amazing and how we draw others to Jesus by being gracious ourselves.

I. Why Grace Goes First
1. It makes God desirable.
2. It makes truth bearable.
3. It makes the Word understandable.
II. Understanding Grace
1. G – Giving away something that is undeserved!
2. R – Redemptive love.
3. A – Accepting and befriending people who are unlike us, reject us, or are unkind to us.
4. C – Creating a safe atmosphere for people who are weak or hurting.
5. E – Extending forgiveness and seeking peace and reconciliation, whether it is deserved or not.
My Grace Challenge to All of Us:

G – Give something undeserved, and believe God loves you even when you aren’t doing well or you’re struggling.

R – Redeem someone with God’s love when they are struggling and don’t deserve it.

A – Accept and befriend someone you typically wouldn’t.

C – Create a safe atmosphere for others.

E – Extend forgiveness and seek peace.

About Gateway Church

Gateway Church is a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church founded in 2000 by Pastor Robert Morris. Today we meet as one church in many locations with more than 30,000 people attending each weekend. Our vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered, and serving; and our mission is to help each person at Gateway believe in Jesus, belong to family, become a follower, and build God’s kingdom. We’re all about people.
