King of my Heart Lyrics

Let the King of my heart
Be the mountain where I run
The fountain I drink from
Oh, He is my song

Let the King of my heart
Be the shadow where I hide
The ransom for my life
Oh, He is my song

'Cause You are good
You are good, oh-oh
You are good
You are good, oh-oh
You are good
You are good, oh-oh
You are good
You are good, oh-oh

And let the King of my heart
Be the wind inside my sails
The anchor in the waves
Oh-oh, He is my song

Let the King of my heart
Be the fire inside my veins
The echo of my days
Oh-oh, He is my song

'Cause You are good
You are good, oh-oh
You are good
You are good, oh-oh
You are good
You are good, oh-oh
You are good
You are good, oh-oh

You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down
And You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down
You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down
You're never gonna let
You're never gonna let me down

What a Beautiful Name Lyrics

You were the Word at the beginning
One With God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ

What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

You didn't want heaven without us
So Jesus, You brought heaven down
My sin was great, Your love was greater
What could separate us now

What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You
You silenced the boast, of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, Our God reigns
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name, above all names

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

How does salvation protect us?

1. It gives us our identity

Our identity lies in what Jesus did for us on the cross.
You are so valuable, that you are worth dying for.

Jesus was fully human. That means he had his own desires and was tempted to strive after personal ambitions and having his own life.

But he laid those things down and chose to suffer and allow his life to end so that all of us could be spared. It was a great sacrifice.
With the helmet of salvation, your identity and your value are protected, safe from attack.

2. The helmet of salvation also gives us hope
We have hope in a world that God promises us will be ours one day when we finish our race here.
God promises that one day everything will be perfect, but we don’t have to wait to experience amazing things, the way that God intended it to be.

One day everything will be complete and wholly perfect, but even now the Spirit of God is with us and we can have incredible moments where we see Him at work in our lives and others.

The Helmet of Salvation gives us hope now, and hope for our future in Heaven with Him.

3. The Helmet of Salvation also gives us purpose.
Our salvation is too good to keep to ourselves.

This verse in 1 Timothy gives us two ways that we can share salvation with other people:

1. We need to pray and intercede for those who don’t know God

2. We need to do our best to live out Christianity authentically, we need to become like Jesus: we need to be love, peace, joy, forgiveness, holy so that those who don’t know God would know who He is through us

The Helmet of Salvation gives us our identity, hope, and purpose.
