“The lesson before us today is faithfulness in the waiting. Answering three questions rightly will make us successful in this endeavor.”
1. Who Is In Charge?
2. What Are We To Do?
3. What Can We Expect?
“Which slave are you?”

APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
Read the following passages that deal with gifts. As you review them, consider what they are and consist of, how they are to be used, and what occurs as a result of their use or neglect. Matthew 3:8-10; John 15:1-6; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 18-20, 27; 1 Peter 4:10.

In relation to God’s kingdom purposes and the gospel, what are you doing with your talents right now? If the Master were to return at this hour, what would your account to Him look like in regard to the gifts He has entrusted to your care, specifically in regard to Time, Talent, and Treasure? What is your favorite excuse for not using your talents for Kingdom purposes? How can these excuses be overcome?
As you reflect upon this parable, what do you observe as the basis of commendation? Was it based upon quantity or amount, or upon faithfulness? Now read 1 Corinthians 4:2, and discuss the crucial difference between faithful and successful. What does God desire in regard to our talents? How does God measure success? Why is this significant to us?
Review Matthew 20:28, 28:18-20; Romans 3:23-24, 6:23; and 2 Corinthians 5:20 and discuss what the ultimate gift to mankind is and our own accountability to it.
What will you do this week to make better use and be an improved steward of God’s gifts?
