What are Strongholds? - Thoughts in your mind!
• Fear starts with a thought
• Worry starts with a thought
• Anxiety starts with a thought
• Anger starts with a thought
• Comparing myself with someone else starts with a thought
The Apostle Paul defines strongholds as any type of thinking that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, thereby giving the devil a secure place of influence in a Christian’s thought-life.
A stronghold is a mindset impregnated with a sense of hopelessness that causes us to accept something that we know is contrary to the will of God
Here are some of the thoughts that Satan drops into people’s minds:
• You’re no good---You’re not saved----You have committed the “Unpardonable sin”
• You are going to be lost forever---Kids will never come back to God
• No-one appreciates you---look no-one bothers to contact you
• You will never give up that habit
• You will never get well
The battlefield is the "thought life".
You don't play with them. You don't lightly deal with them. You don't humour them! You pull them down, you cast them down.
What are the mighty weapons?

The weapon of His Word
"It is written" (Luke 4)

The weapon of His Blood
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb” (Revelations 12:11 NKJV)

The weapon of His Name
Acts 4:6 (NKJB) “Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have…”

The weapon of praise
2 Chronicles 20:22 (NKJV) “Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the enemy of Judah; and they were defeated.

The weapon of His presence
Numbers 10:35 (NKJV) “So it was, whenever the ark set out, that Moses said: “Rise up, O Lord! Let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You.”

The weapon of the Gospel
Romans 1:16 “The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation”
Proverbs 4:20-22 (The Voice)
“My son, pay attention to all the words I am telling you. Lean in closer so you may hear all I say. 21 Keep them before you; meditate on them; set them safely in your heart. 22 For those who discover them, they are life. They bring wholeness and healing to their bodies.
If the devil says you are not saved, declare God’s word:
"To as many as received Him, to them gave power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name" (John 1:12 NKJV)
If he says you are going to die early in life and leave your family, declare what David said:
"with long life he satisfies me and shows me His salvation!!" (Psalm 91:16 NKJV)
If the devil says you will never get well, declare,
"By His stripes I am healed!" (1 Peter 2:24 NKJV)
If the enemy tells you God will not forgive your sin or heal your particular disease, replace that thought and declare:
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. who forgives all mine iniquity, who heals all my diseases."
(Psalms 103:1-2 NKJV)
