What we know about God from Genesis 1?

1. God is the Eternal Creator of all
2. God exists in 3 persons with 1 Common Divine Nature (CDN) and they all participated in creation – The Trinity
3. Truth is Eternal and therefore NEVER changes
4. Both male and female were made in the image of God
5. God is Good
6. God is Love

Omni is a Latin prefix that means "ALL"
Benevolence = the desire to do good to others
Omni-Benevolence = "ALL LOVING"

By understanding the Truth of this word [{Truth is eternal}], if we can show that God possesses this quality, than any comparison with God’s action with HIS WORD MUST be consistent.

An all loving (good) God will ALWAYS choose what is loving and good for His creation!

God sets the standard (something considered by an authority or by general consent as a basis of comparison; an approved model by which all comparisons are made)

The Law of Opposites - – The total absence of one quality defines the exact opposite quality, so the absence of goodness = evil.

We learn:
God said the Light is good, so Light is eternally “good”
Darkness is the opposite of good = “bad or evil”
Darkness is therefore eternally bad or evil

Making judgments or comparing right and wrong choices to make the right choice is impossible if we have no “standard” or Truth!

The Bible is our unchanging (eternal) standard. Its principles of right or wrong cannot change.

God is all loving and goodness so He wants the BEST for His creation (God cannot violate His own WORD or He ceases to be God.

The Law of opposites says that if eternal goodness exists, by definition eternal evil or badness must exist and if BOTH exist there must be a choice (Free Agency)

God wants us to be free!

Did God create something evil?

Satan has no body of flesh and bones.

Why does God Allow evil in His "perfect" garden?
Why does God allow evil to deceive her?
FREE AGENCY demands it!

SUMMARY
1. God is the Eternal Creator
2. God exists in 3 persons – The Trinity
3. Truth is Eternal and therefore NEVER changes
4. God is Good/God IS Love (Omni-benevolent) – He wants the best for His creation
5. Both male and female were made in the image of God
6. Since Truth is eternal, when we compare God’s action with what we know, the “correct” interpretation must be consistent with what we know or we have made an error in our interpretation.
7. The Bible is therefore the WORD of God and it is never wrong and it never fails. So, the Bible is the standard for the Christian. If we have no standard comparison is pointless and impossible.
8. The Law of Opposites demands the Law of Free Agency
9. Good produces good and can never produce evil.
10.Satan has no material being so he must possess the material to be seen as material.
11. Free Agency dictates that since God exists and He is Good, evil must exist so JUSTICE must exist.
12. Since God is good, God is just (rewarding obedience with pleasure and sin with pain)
13.Mercy (not getting what you deserve) is eternal since God is good, but God is just, so mercy cannot rob justice!
14.God must find another way to develop (teach) His creation and redeem them back to Him, without changing His WORD!
