Irresistible Faith - (shine & share) wk1
What if Christians became the best advertisement for Jesus? We want to become the kind of Christ followers the world can't resist. Jesus said his followers would be a light to the world and a city on the hill - a warmly inviting, neighbor-loving, grace-and-truth-filled destination for all. Rooted in biblical convictions, they would extend love, empathy, and care for one another as well as those who don't share their beliefs. Over time their movement would become irresistible to every nation, tribe and tongue. We must pursue an irresistible faith!

“Christians become a light to the world to the degree that they stand out as different from the world.”
15 Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.
here’s a great question:
Q) What if Christians became the best advertisement for Jesus?
Abiding (abiding in the irresistible Christ) – we are to stay connected to the Vine, the amazing Savior and who He is. As we do, we’re continually changed to be more and more like him.
Belonging (belonging to an irresistible community) that the way we’re to interact with one another and the world, helps us be attractive for a world that is looking for real love.
Becoming (becoming an irresistible Christian) that the way we now live is to be marked by God’s love and thus one that is inviting others to experience it for themselves.
We’re living in an interesting time when religion is under question and how Christianity works is under skepticism
47% of practicing Christian millennial’s believe it’s wrong to evangelize to someone, with the hopes that they one day convert; yet 94% will say that the best thing that can ever happen to someone is for them to come to know Jesus. WHAT A FASCINATING PARADOX!
Here's David Kinnamen's recent talk about this research at the Alpha Conference: https://alphausa.org/blog/face-of-evangelism-is-changing
TOP 4 WAYS non-Christian’s would like to have in a conversation partner:
-62% listens without judgment
-50% doesn’t force a conclusion
-43% allows others to draw their own conclusions
=be confident in sharing their own perspective (understand your faith)
“Doing evangelism today will take more patience, courage, and thoughtfulness than was needed a generation ago.” He explains that shifting public ideas about faith—and Christianity as a whole—have made talking about the faith more complicated. And, misdeeds of churches, leaders and high profile Christians make it more difficult to talk about Christianity in many circles."
We are compelled to share the Good News with ALL, because God’s love is FOR ALL
Jesus’ last command needs to remain our first priority.
Rescued people, are to rescue people.
