The Book of Acts - Bible Study and Discipleship (Ch.12)
Join us as we journey through the Book of Acts. God placed the study of this book upon my heart in hopes that we might learn of and mimic the early church. I believe with my whole heart that everything in Acts is still for the Church today. God changes not, so why should His church? Further, God is no respecter of persons. This study is not exhaustive but an overview, hitting critical points and highlighting important doctrinal teachings (especially the Oneness of God). We study a one chapter per week and always provide a verse for you to take and memorize. The other objective of this study is to get God's word in you. The verse that sets the tone and theme for the entire book is 1:8 - "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."- We see power and the boldness to witness and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others throughout the whole book according to God's extraordinary power and might. We can be strengthened today as His church once we realize we are called to walk in that same power.
