THE MAN WE CALL JESUS WEEK 3 MARCH 31

IMPACT CHURCH NORFOLK
In August of 2006, Pastors Nate and Karen Perkins relocated from Jacksonville, FL to the Hampton Roads area to inspire, influence and impact the community with the message of Jesus Christ. You’ll discover that our passion is to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with God. Impact Church of Norfolk is a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching, Holy Spirit led ministry impacting individuals from all walks of life. Based in Norfolk, VA, through various mediums, IC Norfolk is engaging in sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching those who we come in contact with how to live a God First Life. Jesus came to restore fallen man to a loving God. He died for us. He demonstrated His love toward us. God has given Him a name above every name. Let's find out who Jesus is and what it really means to live for Him, join us for the "The Man We Call Jesus" series on Sundays at 10:00 a.m.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PASTOR KAREN

28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Hard concept for us to grasp, because we are used to seeing man through the diluted eyes of sin.
The rest of us are in a continual fight to overcome years of degrading thoughts, motives, and behaviors that have caused us to identify with
Fallen Adam instead the Second Adam (Jesus).
QUOTE: The Father is constantly working to get us to see ourselves through the shed blood of the Last Adam instead of the wicked deeds of the First Adam.
He operated as a man (Son of God), walking in Authority AND Power.
Authority (Gr. Exousia) – Delegated influence; jurisdiction
Power (Gr. Dunamis) – Miraculous ability; force
Jesus deputized the 12 Luke 9:1,2 (NKJV)
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Jesus deputized the 70 Luke 10:1, 2, 17 – 19 (NKJV)
After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly isgreat, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest 17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Jesus deputized us too Matthew 28:18, 19 (NKJV) –
And Jesus came and spoke to them , saying, “All AUTHORITY has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Acts 1:8 (NKJV) – But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Power of Attorney – written statement legally authorizing a person to act on behalf of another.
Whatever the NAME of Jesus has authority to do, so do we.
Satan is functioning as an outlaw!
Let’s use our AUTHORITY to lay hands on the sick, speak a word of encouragement to a discouraged person, and pray for God to lead us to the right person to invite out for Easter Weekend Services
