Welcome to Family Sunday

How do we lead well?
Genesis 8:1 (AMP)
1 And God remembered and thought kindly of Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters receded.
Genesis 9:11 (NLT)
11Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.”
Noah heard and trusted God’s word to him
Hebrews 11:7 NLT
7It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.

Noah walked and lived in habitual fellowship with God
What does it mean for us in our families today?
What are you believing for in your family that has never happened before?
Noah heard and followed God’s instructions
Isaiah 30:21 NLT
21Your own ears will hear him.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.
21Your own ears will hear him.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.
Genesis 6:22 NLT
22So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.
22So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.
Genesis 7:5 NLT
5So Noah did everything as the LORD commanded him.
5So Noah did everything as the LORD commanded him.
Hearing and following God’s instruction is powerful
Proverbs 4:13 NIV
13Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;
guard it well, for it is your life.
13Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;
guard it well, for it is your life.
Noah TOOK ACTION, even though he didn’t have all the details revealed to Him
instruction without action merely becomes information
JOHN 10:27 AMP
27 The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.
27 The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.

If God gives you instruction, He will give you the grace and ability to see it through

1 O LORD, how my enemies have increased!
Many are rising up against me.
2 Many are saying of me,
“There is no help [no salvation] for him in God.” Selah.
3 But You, O LORD, are a shield for me,
My glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head.
