Jesus said, "eat my flesh and drink my blood." Wait, He said what?? The state of the human soul is hungry; it is a hunger that comes from sin and ultimately separation from God. Our souls were made to be satisfied with God. This hard to read statement is a metaphorical analogy to the importance of Jesus being our "true bread" and source of fulfillment.
Taking phrases and verses out of context always leads to misunderstanding.

Our soul craving is not for something, but for SOMEONE. And until we’ve been re-united to that SOMEONE, our souls will always be famished, corrupted and always searching.
Our mission is not just "random acts of kindness" it's also "bold acts of proclamation."
