Two Roads: Choosing the Hard Path of Jesus When Religion is so Easy
It’s been said, “You make your choices, and then your choices make you.” In this new sermon series, Two Roads, we’re going to explore the power of obedient faith, even when the road is narrow. From the mouth of Jesus, we’re going to compare the easy path of cultural religion with the challenging, far more exhilarating path of Christ. This series will help each of us take the next step from being “UnStuck,” to becoming more adventurous difference makers for Christ.

The wide and narrow paths are less about a single decision of faith, then they are about our daily decisions to obey.
Life on the narrow road requires a strong foundation.
LifeGroup Discussion Questions
1. Take 5-10 minutes to skim the Sermon on The Mount in Matthew 5-7. Note the section headings in your Bible. What are some of the areas that Jesus is concerned with as we strive to live a life of holiness. As a group, make a list.
2. Review that list. Taken together, it’s obviously a small number of people who are seeking to walk that narrow path. How would a life of obedience on this path also be a life of abundance?
3. Read Matthew 7:13-14 again. What are some examples we see today of “cultural Christians” trying to walk on the wide and narrow paths at the same time. Making it more personal, how do you tend to walk on both paths simultaneously?
4. In his message, Adrian said, “The life of abundance is found on the path of obedience.” How have you found this to be true in your Christian journey?
5. What is one way you’d like to help your family or kids you are serving build their houses on the rock of Christ?
6. Pray for one another and for our church as we walk the narrow path together.
For Next Sunday:
• Meditate and pray on Matthew 7:15-23
• Continue walking through the New Testament one chapter/day
• Ask God to grow your family and your church family in holiness.
