Big Idea: “Obedience in everyday life pleases God”
Principal Number 1: Becoming a Person of Influence
Repentance is a literal turning from our past, forsaking anything that would lead us back into sin and pursuing God. In the life of Ruth we see God showing us this principal at work. True repentance leads us away from an ungodly heritage to cling to Godliness. In Ruth it created this sense of urgency, she did not want to go back to dead worthless idols. Her statement is emphatic, your people will be my people and your God my God.

Let me ask you two questions related to this Principal of Influence :
1. What level of influence are you having on those around you?
2. Have you determined to forsake anything or anyone that would lead you away from a godly inheritance; found only in true repentance in following Christ?
Principal 2: Tragedy and Adversity Happen
Adversity and hardship are not necessarily the result of God’s actions or disapproval. Satan and ordinary experiences will bring difficulty and trouble into our lives regardless of our relationship with God.

Let me ask you two questions based on the Principal of Adversity:
1. Have you believed that adversity in your life means you have sin in your life?
2. Today are you willing to no longer judge yourself or others with this bad theology?
Principal 3: God’s Favor is No Coincidence
If you live close to God, your departure from sin will preach to the lives of those that know you and those that hear about you!
If you live close to God, your departure from sin will preach to the lives of those that know you and those that hear about you!
So let me ask you two questions related to this principal of Favor:
1. Do you believe God’s favor is an accident or a plan?
Are you living in a manner where He can and will pour out blessing and favor on your life?
Like Abraham, her inheritance was due to Faith.Obedience leads to blessing.
Big Idea: “Obedience in everyday life, pleases God!”
Principal 4: A Kinsman Redeemer
Boaz a type of Christ. Boaz name in the Hebrew breaks down to mean “ “By Strength, or In Him (the Lord) Is Strength or some propose it means He (God) Establishes in Strength.”
How is he a Type of Christ? The story relates us to Levitical law where ones closest relative would marry to maintain the deceased heritage through children. So he purchases back from the dead, restores, and gives life.

God will make for himself a name through not only his people, but also from among the gentiles.
We as a people have much to rejoice for our Kinsman Redeemer, Jesus Christ has brought our name our heritage into his family to make something great from you.

2. Do you understand that it is by Grace he saves you?
3. Do you understand that he came to redeem you to make something great out of your life?
4. What are you doing with the life he gave you once he redeemed you?
