The Wrong Foundation: Debt
· Debt changes the way you do life (Proverbs 22:7)
· Debt brings risk, which bring stress (Proverbs 22:26-27)
· Debt steals the #1 thing you have to prepare for the future – your income
· Eliminate all personal debt ASAP

· There is wisdom in saving, living on less than you make (Proverbs 21:20)
· An emergency fund is a beautiful thing to have (Proverbs 6:6-8)

The Tools that Build Savings: Work and Budget
· Hard work is essential to the equation (Proverbs 6:9-110
· Some seasons of life require working multiple jobs
· A budget is essential - make every dollar work hard for your goals
· Your budget should focus first on the necessities of life before you move on to budgeting for other things
· The best way to budget is assigning every dollar a purpose a month at a time – Zero-based budgeting
· The budget must be agreed on in a marriage so that it moves you toward your Why
What Does It Take to Finance Your Why?
· With savings as a foundation, how much do you need to have to live your Why?
· What steps of preparation do you need to take in order to live your Why? What will those steps take financially?
· How far out in the future do I want to be able to see this happen?
· Take those 3 pieces of information along with your financial realities of the moment and develop a plan of attack
· Remember, You are Jesus’ WHY!
