Come discover this unique and personalized creative method of Bible Journaling. Bible Journaling is catching on all over as a way to express your personal Bible study and devotional thoughts. From simple wording to abstract art, people are discovering new ways of learning and expressing Bible truth.
This one-day workshop will be led by our own Jessica Bowden who has been Journaling for some time and she will inspire and encourage participants to take up the Journaling habit. Here’s what we plan to cover:
Introduction to Journaling and why it is an important Bible learning technique
Different types of Journaling
Types of Bibles or Journals available
Different media used in creative Journaling
How to get started
Hands-on exercises
You will hear all about ways to journal through your personal Bible study, and we will show you different media and techniques as well. Several people will have their journaling on display to see the many different ways Bible journaling is being done.
This is a hands-on workshop. During the workshop you will have the opportunity to create a journal entry. We will supply paper and basic art and lettering supplies. Feel free to bring your own if you’d like. We will also have some specialty Journaling Bibles and Journal Notebooks for sale.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call Tom in the church office at 706.884.5631. Invite a friend or two. Journaling together is fun and builds fellowship!
So come spend some time with this creative and lively group. If you are already a Journalist, then bring your Bible or Journal to inspire others. If you are completely new, then come prepared to learn how Bible Journaling can be an effective tool in your spiritual disciplines toolbox. This event is for men and women, teenagers, and anyone interested in Bible Journaling. Bring a friend!
