Series: A Thrill of Hope
Isaiah 9:6-7
1. Through the lens of the prophet we are able to see the fullness of God’s redemptive plan
2. Through the message of the prophet we hear the zeal of the Lord
3. God does not give us what we expect, He gives what we need
4. The Son He gives is called:
· Wonderful – His signs and wonders were evidence of His power over all things
· Councilor – We can have confidence that His plans are for our best
· Mighty God – He has all power available to Him to fulfill His good plans
· Everlasting Father – His benevolent love guides His eternal plans for us
· Prince of Peace – The establishment of His kingdom will bring lasting peace to all under His rule
