Joy to the World | The Secret Life of Forgotten Prayers

Joy to the World | The Secret Life of Forgotten Prayers

Joy changes everything. It begins with what we feel about something and becomes how we see everything. True joy is irresistible and uncontainable; it changes us - the way we live, the way we love, the way we worship - and through us it changes the world itself. Join us this Christmas at Mission Hills to unwrap true, God-sized, world-changing joy.

Welcome to Mission Hills!

Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift!

In the time of Herod king of Judea... (Luke 1:5a)
...there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. (Luke 1:5b)
God's still listening to the prayers we’ve stopped praying.
God never delivers undersized joy.
If we could see the size of the blessing God is brewing, we would be ashamed of our impatience.
One of the greatest obstacles to true joy is the fear of hope.
Silence doesn't equal inactivity
The only source of true joy is the God who sees us.
How to deal with silence:
// 1. Know that you are seen and your prayers are never forgotten.
// 2. Remember that God never delivers undersized joy...but sometimes it takes forms we would never have expected.
//3. Remember that the key to experiencing God-sized joy is sticking close to the God who sees us.
