Discussion Questions - Re-read our passage from this week (Esther 3:1-15) and then with your Growth Group, family, friends, etc. thoughtfully answer the following:

1. Did you inherit any prejudice from the family you grew up in?

2. Have you experienced prejudice? What is a Christian response when you experience prejudice?

3. Are there any God ordained authorities in your life right now you have a hard time honoring? If so, who and why?

4. How does honoring the authorities play out in practical ways in an election year like this one?

5. What angers you may reveal our heart idols. Agree or disagree and why?

6. How does trusting God as our Supreme authority give us the ability to properly submit to lesser authorities?

7. How does serving your own desires and needs prevent you from serving others well?

8. How has living for your own glory caused chaos or confusion in the lives of those you love?

9. One could argue that the decree to destroy the Jews originated from just one Jews actions. We know from the end of the story that God used all of these events to bring about His will (providence). Can you see anything similar in your own life story?
