Growth doesn’t happen automatically or overnight.
Scripture uses agricultural imagery to illustrate Kingdom of God, the righteous life, the way God works. - God uses imagery of seeds, planting, harvest, and seasons.
God designed life around seeds
Fruit is the evidence of a seed that died and became something new
- We have a part to play and God has a part to play. We plant, we water, God makes it grow.

The principle of the seed is meant to create connection and cooperation with God.
Connection and cooperation means we tap into God’s power with our participation

God gives the future in seed form. The tree to come, fruit to come, orchard to come is already contained in the seed.
Every single one of us has potential! But potential is the latent qualities that are dormant, but not yet realized.
A seed can lay dormant for centuries, even up to 1000’s of years in silos and still produce. Some of you are in a silo - A seed in a silo has a lot of potential but will never reach it.
A seed requires the right environment to realize its potential.
The soil you plant in matters. The environment you’re hanging out in will determine the growth of the seed. Because whatever you plant in will feed you something.
You will become a product of the soil you’re planted in!

A seed requires time to reach its potential.
You can’t see what the creator had in mind, until it’s had time to develop.
- God is the one who places everything in the seed, and it’s God who has the power to make it grow but it’s us that has to partner with the process.

Time + Environment = Growth - That’s the formula. You can’t skip the process.
How Do We Realize Our Potential?
FOCUS ON THE SEED, NOT THE FRUIT.

When you focus on the fruit alone, you desire fruit of seeds you didn’t plant.
If you focus on the fruit, it will always take longer than you think, and you’ll be consistently frustrated - You’ll be mad at God because it hasn’t happened in YOUR time frame.

When you get the right seed in the right environment, the fruit takes care of itself!
The Bible uses a similar pattern of seeds to define how our thought life works. Start as seeds: Thoughts > Ideas > Beliefs > Actions > Results
Here’s the truth - whatever you allow to grow, will produce something in you.
