• We must more seriously recognize how absolutely central the Holy Spirit is to our Christian life and experience.

• The Spirit is the Holy Breath of our entire spiritual existence, and it grieves Him When we act like He doesn’t exist.

• Keep your spiritual eyes on the road and your spiritual hands on the wheel!

• You can know to what extent the old nature is influencing you by what your mind tends to dwell on.

• Recognize the part your mind plays in your Christian choices and behavior.

• Where your mind goes, so will your action. What you dwell on will become reality without the Spirit’s intervention.

• Yield to the Spirit moment by moment.

• Deliberately think on excellent things.

• Move your mind quickly from all things ungodly. Shorten the gap between the smallest tempting thought, and call on the Spirit’s help!

1. God’s instructions in Zechariah 4:6 were to be delivered to Zerubbabel, but what application can this verse have to New Testament believers today?
