SHARE: What's the first Bible verse you ever memorized? Why do you think that particular verse stuck with you?
READ: Romans 5:8 and 1 John 3:1 Together. How does understanding that God's love is completely unconditional change the way you approach Him in prayer, worship, or confession? What makes it difficult for us to truly believe there's nothing we can do to make God love us more or less?
READ: Romans 8:31-32 and 1 Peter 1:18-19. Why is it significant that God didn't redeem us with "perishable things such as silver or gold"? How does recognizing what God paid for your salvation affect how you value yourself and others?
READ: 2 Peter 3:9. Who in your life needs to hear that God's love includes them? What holds you back from sharing that truth? How can our church better reflect the "whoever" nature of God's love to our community?
READ: John 3:18 and Ephesians 2:8-9. What does it mean to truly "believe in" Jesus versus just believing facts about Him? Have you ever struggled with doubt? How did (or does) that affect your relationship with God?
READ: John 14:1-6 and Revelation 21:3-4. How often do you think about eternity in your daily life? How should eternity shape our priorities today? How can we talk about heaven and hell with both truth and compassion?
SHARE: Karl Barth, after writing 6 million words of theology, summarized his faith simply: "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the BibleIf someone asked you to summarize your faith in one sentence, what would you say? Is there any area of your life where you're struggling to receive or rest in God's love right now? How can this group pray for you?
INVITATION: Memorize or meditate on John 3:16 each day this week. Ask God to show you one person who needs to hear about His love, and find a way to share it with them—through words, actions, or simply being present.
